Clear glass, ground edges.

Cylindrical lenses made of highly polished glass magnifies in only one dimension. These lenses are used in transforming a point image to a line or changing the height of an image without changing its width.

Brass dial head 40 mm in diameter, divided and marked in 100 divisions. Vertical scale of 10-0-10 mm. Fitted on tripod stand, distance between legs 40 mm.

Diameter 25 mm, mounted in plastic eye-grip frame.

In metal frame and handle, chrome plated.
